When I started Peckham Professional Contracting, I asked myself a simple question: How can I do this better?
After 40 years in the renovation industry, I’ve seen what works—and where contractors, products and traditional methods can fail homeowners. I didn’t want to be another contractor in the pack. I wanted to prove there are still hardworking, knowledgeable contractors who genuinely care about their customers, their work and the reputation they leave behind.
That philosophy became the foundation of PeckhamPro.
Experience has also taught me not to accept “that’s the way it’s always been done” as a good enough answer. When something fails, I want to understand why. I continually study building science, modern materials, technology and installation methods so we can solve underlying problems instead of simply covering them up.
That means using quality materials whenever possible, giving honest advice about products and methods, thinking through the details, and never cutting corners. If there’s an opportunity to go above and beyond, that’s the direction I’d rather take.
Just as important is the relationship I build with my customers. Trust isn't something I expect because someone hired me. It's something I believe I have to earn. That starts with honest advice, thorough communication, reliability, punctuality and being available whenever questions or concerns arise.
I personally oversee every PeckhamPro project from the first consultation through construction and final cleanup. I’m on-site every day because every project and every customer is ultimately my responsibility.
My reputation matters enormously to me. I want homeowners to know that when my name is attached to a project, I stand behind it. Over the years, many customers have become more than customers, and earning their trust, respect and friendship is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
At the end of a project, I don't just want customers to be happy with their renovation. I want them to know hiring us was the right call—and feel confident recommending PeckhamPro to their friends, family and neighbours.

Ashley Peckham – Founding Member
Ashley has been part of Peckham Professional Contracting since the very beginning, helping build the company from the ground up. As a founding member and former partner, she played a key role in shaping both the business and the standards we continue to uphold today.
After more than 20 years in the renovation industry, Ashley chose to step back from her ownership role to focus on other priorities. While no longer involved in the day-to-day management of the company, she remains an important member of our team and a valued employee.
Her experience spans drywall installation, mudding and taping, framing, and professional painting—skills developed and refined through decades of hands-on work. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to quality, Ashley has contributed to countless successful renovation projects over the years.
Today, she continues to support the company in multiple ways. Along with working on select projects, she serves as a trusted advisor, offering insight drawn from years of experience. She also plays an active role in promoting Peckham Professional Contracting through our social media presence, helping share our work and connect with homeowners throughout the community.
Every successful business is built on people who believe in it. Ashley has been one of those people from day one, and her continued support remains an important part of who we are.
Mason Chambers – Renovation Specialist
Mason joined Peckham Professional Contracting with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for doing quality work. Since becoming part of the team, he has developed into a skilled renovation professional whose craftsmanship and positive attitude have made him an invaluable member of the company.
Working alongside the owner on a wide variety of interior renovation projects, Mason has gained hands-on experience in drywall, painting, flooring, framing, demolition, finish carpentry, and general renovations. He approaches every project with pride, paying close attention to the details that transform good work into exceptional results.
What truly sets Mason apart, however, is his ability to connect with people. Friendly, respectful, and approachable, he has a natural talent for making homeowners feel comfortable throughout the renovation process. Whether answering questions, explaining what we're doing, or simply treating every home with care and respect, Mason helps create the kind of experience clients remember long after the project is complete.
As Steve's brother-in-law, Mason is more than just part of the crew—he's part of the family. HIs sense of responsibility shows in everything he does. He takes pride in representing the company, believes in doing the job right the first time, and is committed to the same high standards that Peckham Professional Contracting was built on.

Milo Peckham – Renovation Apprentice
Milo has been working alongside the team for several years as a part-time employee and recently joined Peckham Professional Contracting full-time for the summer. As the newest member of the crew, he's learning every aspect of the renovation trade—from demolition and material preparation to painting, drywall, framing, and the safe operation of professional power tools under the guidance of our experienced team.
What stands out most about Milo is his eagerness to learn. He has a strong mechanical aptitude, asks thoughtful questions, and quickly applies what he's taught. Rather than simply being shown how to complete a task, he wants to understand why it's done that way. That curiosity, combined with a strong work ethic, has allowed him to develop rapidly.
Being the owner's son doesn't earn Milo special treatment—it means the expectations are even higher. At Peckham Professional Contracting, every member of the team is expected to represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and respect. Technical skills can be taught, but character is equally important.
That's why customer relationships remain our highest priority. Every employee is expected to communicate openly, treat each home as if it were their own, and leave every homeowner feeling confident they've chosen the right company.
